Matecs, located in Roosendaal, the Netherlands, has a number of CNC controlled milling machines, both small and large ones. CNC controlled milling is a technique, often used in metalmachining. The machine is controlled by a computer in order to mill very efficient and precise. Various metals can be machined, by a rotating cutter. The material is clamped and moved along three axes (X, Y and Z), controlled by the computer.
These CNC-machines can work at tight tolerances, which is essential for high-quality components, demanding accuracy. Once programmed, the machining job can be repeated over and over again, without deviations, thus enabling efficient machining of series. Furthermore this technique enables us to produce difficult shapes, which are hard to achieve manually. We have also a CNC-controlled turning/milling combination, able to turn and mill in a single chuck.
