Turning

Turning solutions at Matecs

At Matecs, located in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, we specialize in precision turning. This is a machining process in which a cutting tool removes material from a rotating workpiece to create cylindrical shapes. This operation is typically performed on a lathe, where the workpiece is secured and rotated around its axis while the cutting tool moves linearly to shape the material. Turning is fundamental in manufacturing, enabling the production of precise components with rotational symmetry.

In turning operations, two primary methods are distinguished based on the direction of the cutting tool’s feed relative to the workpiece carousel/vertical turning or longitudinal turning. We have machining centers to perform both methods.

In addition to these lathes, we also have a turning-milling combination that can perform two different operations in one fixture.

CNC turning with both precision and efficiency

At Matecs, CNC turning represents precision and efficiency. Our computer-controlled machines bore complex shapes and contours with high accuracy and consistency, ideal for both prototypes, single pieces and te production of series. With our CNC technology, we achieve tight tolerances and are able to meet your specific project requirements.
We also have conventional lathes, for simpler jobs at a lower price.
